OzBrain connects to ChatGPT as a custom plugin with the MCP URL. After you approve once, ChatGPT reads your routing index, pulls the articles a task needs, and stages new knowledge so Claude, Cursor, and every other connected agent share the same facts. ChatGPT memory can stay on for casual recall inside ChatGPT.
What ChatGPT learns while you work is staged, routed, and available everywhere you connect the same brain, including people you grant access to.
Enable custom plugins, add OzBrain, keep working.

Open Plugins and turn on Developer mode
In ChatGPT on the web, click your avatar at the bottom left of the sidebar, then Settings, then Plugins. Scroll to the bottom of the installed list. Developer mode and Browse plugins both sit below the last plugin. If you do not scroll, they are not on screen. Turn on Developer mode. It only makes custom plugins available. It changes nothing else about your account. - 02
Browse plugins and create OzBrain
Stay in Plugins. Choose Browse plugins, then click the plus button to the right of Search plugins. The dialog is titled New Plugin. Set Name to OzBrain, paste the URL below into Connection, and leave Authentication on OAuth. Tick "I understand and want to continue", then Create. Sign in and approve
A window opens. Sign in to OzBrain with the code we email you, then approve the connection. After that, ChatGPT can read and write your brain in every session without asking again.
What ChatGPT can do once connected
The plugin exposes your brain as tools. ChatGPT decides when to use them, and every write is attributed to ChatGPT in the article history.
Read the routing index
A compact listing of every article and what it covers, so ChatGPT finds knowledge by structure instead of hoping the memory digest kept it.
Pull the articles a task needs
Drafting an email, ChatGPT reads your voice rules and the relevant client article. Planning a launch, it reads the project article with the current decisions.
Stage new knowledge
When something worth keeping comes up, ChatGPT writes it to staging, routed to the article it belongs to, never straight into canon.
Surface conflicts before they land
If a write contradicts what the brain holds, the write pauses and ChatGPT sees the conflict. It can record an exception; a different agent or you must approve a supersede.

Which ChatGPT plans support custom plugins?
Custom plugins are available on ChatGPT paid plans. If Plugins is missing from Settings, that is a plan limit. If Plugins is there and Developer mode is not, scroll to the bottom of the list.
Why does ChatGPT ask for developer mode?
ChatGPT keeps custom plugins behind Developer mode today. Turning it on only makes custom plugins available. It gives OzBrain nothing on its own: access happens when you approve it while signing in, and you can revoke it at any time from Connections.
Will my brain leak into OpenAI training?
Your brain lives on OzBrain, not inside ChatGPT. What ChatGPT reads in a conversation is subject to your ChatGPT data settings, same as anything else you paste or connect. OzBrain itself never trains on your content and never sells it.
What if ChatGPT says OzBrain tools are disabled?
In ChatGPT on the web, check OzBrain is switched on for that chat. ChatGPT often leaves it off in a new chat. If OzBrain is not listed at all, add it again using the steps above. Starting a new chat with OzBrain switched on also works, and the brain is unchanged.
